Scarlett Johansson Was Going to Make a Music Video, But She Got Her Makeup Done Instead

It pretty much plays like a glorified episode of Making the Video. It’s actually rather boring and unimaginative coming from a girl who decided she was actually going to make an album of Tom Waits covers. I was fully prepared for her to, like, dissect a pig and wrap its innards around her waist and then skip nude through the Rockefeller Center while wearing a turban and eating French fries. This is pretty tame.

I’m random and slightly petty, I know, but I get a kick out of the fact that the “beautiful people” look every bit as shiny and blotchy as the rest of us prior to being coated in pancake makeup.

Someone once told me that the blonde who gives Jim Morrison a blowjob in the movie the doors is meant to be her. Apparently he liked her deep voice….
The only good quality about this pile of pretentious hipster tone-deaf bullshit is that we all get to see how truly sallow and bepimpled ScarJo’s face is.

I don’t know if this is the style in which Tom Waits sings, but to my ears it is truly awful. She sounds like a yowling cat!

Ok guess what… I actually… kind of liked it. I mean… Tom Waits has a weird fucking voice too.. I like her cover better.

she really is only pretty with all her makeup. and her voice is bad, not to mention even more of her vocal flaws are just covered up with alot of overdone reverb and other musicians and singers who are way better than her.
