People from Omaha Apparently Don’t Want Clay Aiken’s Sexuality Pushed in Their Faces
Says Clay Aiken in a recent interview, when asked about all the attention surrounding his sexuality:
“People don’t want to have that type of stuff pushed, people who are living in Omaha or in Charlotte or wherever. They don’t want stuff like that pushed in their face. I don’t think that’s necessary and that’s also not what I’m here for. I mean, I went on Idol to be a singer, I went on Idol to be an entertainer and that’s what my priority is.”
And, like, I totally see his point about his sexuality not being a priority, but what the fuck is he implying about Omaha? Or Charlotte? Like, that people in those cities are more offended by homosexuality? That people in those cities prefer to look the other way when it comes to homosexuality? Or that people in those cities are simply less interested in one’s sexuality in general? I don’t get it.
Is there anyone around here from Omaha or Charlotte who is interested in exactly what Clay Aiken’s whacks off to at night?
And you know what’s extra funny? I don’t even know where Omaha is. But, thanks to Adam Duritz, I can tell you with a great deal of confidence that it is “somewhere in middle America.”

I’m not american or living there but….Nebraska?
Anyway, the guy seems to be sensible
thank goodness for that!
Sex is a private matter
he mentioned Omaha but he could have mentioned Burkina Faso too.

okay.. omaha nebraska… and yes im curious as to who or what he wacks it too at night! tell me ! come on clay give it up~
April 25th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
i think he believes he will loose fan base if he reviels that he likes men. which is probably true.
April 25th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
It sounds like he was naming random cities as an example of the fact that people in America don’t care. I agree with him. Joe Schmoe in Omaha doesn’t give a crap if he is gay or straight.
April 25th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
Nebraska, moron.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
Im from Omaha. And yeah…I don’t care. I really just don’t care about Clay Aiken in general. Kudos for managing to keep a secret in Hollywood, though.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
He’s from Charlotte, and the current residents regret that he informed the nation of that. He’s an embarassment.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
I know he’s been bullied into pandering to the bovine Claymates and their ilk, but if he’s bopping around w/Tyra and Rosie like a Kansas City f@ggot, he may as well have “I ::heart:: C0ck” tattooed on his forehead. He’s only alienating himself w/this sh!t. No self-respecting gay dude would want to date him…only closeted weirdo douchebags.
No wonder he looks like Jimmy Glick now.

Is Clay Aiken still starring in Spermalot?
April 25th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Oh my God. Paint some whiskers on him and he’s a dead ringer for the Lion from the Wizard of Oz.
April 25th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
1. He’s not from Charlotte, he auditioned in Charlotte for American Idol (and was voted down by several due to lack of sex appeal!).
2. Charlotte is known as the “Queen City” and that ain’t only because it was named for Her Majesty the consort of King George the Insane.
3. Most of the Queens I know in Charlotte wouldn’t be interested in Clay Gaykin. They want handsome men.
4. Clay is the quintenssential gay adoptee of middle aged fag hags in denial whether from Charlotte or Omaha…

Clay has said many times that he is straight but it doesn’t matter . Now he is making the point that a persons sexual preference is private and should not be the basis for discrimination .
Lets ignore him . If who other people go to bed with is interesting to you then spill some details about yourself . Do you *heart* COck , Paul ? Who do you wack , alana ? Maybe if you tell us about your private life Clay Aiken will too .
I love ya , Omaha and Charlotte !

Clay=Poop
April 25th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Is he starring in some production of “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat” or what is exactly going on here in this picture? For the record, no one cares if he is gay or not, the real curiousity is in why is he so ashamed to admit that he is? If he isn’t, fine, if he is, well I can guarantee you it won’t affect my buying any of his cd’s because gay or straight his music sucks!
April 26th, 2008 at 2:35 am
Stop making fun of it…….plz
April 26th, 2008 at 5:03 am
He isn’t “afraid” to admit anything. He is not gay. But he doesn’t think it should matter. He doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with being gay, and he thinks that others shouldn’t care whether a person is gay or straight. He is trying to make a point that society should stop asking such personal questions — that it should not matter — that people should be treated with respect no matter what. The people who continually insist on talking about it and asking about it are the ones who are homophobic. Until we as a society stop hanging labels on people, we will not progress.

I think Clay is rehashing the old chestnut that people from small towns/middle America don’t like to be made aware of homosexual behavior. I’m certain I’ve heard several people say-but not from here-something close to the following: “What they (the homosexuals) do in the bedroom is fine by me but I don’t want to see it/hear it/know about it.” Which is unfair because it automatically makes homosexuality sexual expression somehow ‘dirtier’ than straight sexual expression.
I’m from Omaha, born and raised, and I have no problem with Clay’s sexuality whatever it is but I do wish he didn’t try to drag my city’s name through the mud as a way to duck the, ’so, are you gay?’ question. *Pats Clay Aiken on the head* you’re not dirty Clay Aiken, you’re you, and I like you just the way you are…except when you’re singing.
MambaX, thanks for being from somewhere else in the world and knowing Omaha was in Nebraska–when I travel abroad I just tell people I’m from L.A.
April, thanks for the shout out, Omaha loves you back.

“i think he believes he will loose fan base if he reviels that he likes men. which is probably true.”
He revealed that he likes girls lots of times. It isn’t a secret. Read Rolling Stone or People magazine. He said people don’t care. His fans don’t care they would love him no matter what.
April 26th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
OMG is that dude with the long hair standing besides Clay Aiken that father from the show Two of a Kind (Olsen twins)?? Does anybody else see that or is it just me?
April 26th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

April 27th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
I live in charlotte…and I could really care less because I cant stand him. I just wish he would come out already and stop denying it!
April 27th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
um, i’m an omahan and for the record: i don’t want anything about clay aiken pushed in my face. if i never heard another word about him again i think i would live a very satisfied life. i also personally don’t believe he’s gay or straight, i think he’s just asexual, like amoeba.
April 30th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
You’re great Clay. Vindictive but great.

Who cares if Clay is gay? I think he is a real talent. I love his music and yes I am gay!
