Eva Mendes’ Dress: Love It or Leave It?

Eva Mendes at La Fille Du Regiment Opera, Pictures, Photos

I guess when you decide to quit drinking, you have to resort to evening activities like going to the opera. I don’t think I’ve ever been to an opera in my life. I saw Phantom of the Opera once. Does that count? They talk in English in that one, though. I don’t even like watching movies with subtitles. I doubt I’d fare well at the opera. I’m a cultureless brute.

Here’s Eva at the Metropolitan Opera’s opening night of La Fille Du Regiment.

What do we think of the dress?

    EEEYAAAH! My eyes!

It’d be a great gag dress as the spacial distortion illusion that is around her chest causes me to get dizzy.

I imagine walking around in that horrible assed cyan thing would be comical as random guys would look at her non-cleavage and fall over.

The cut is about as unflattering as you could get. She looks like a cheap Motel 6 lampshade or seat cover from the ’70s. Cyan is a bad color for her and looks crappy with black here. Charcoal woulda been (slightly) better.

Her face looks like she probably understands about the dress.

    I LOVE. the. dress.

I’d like it in black/white, and even better if her hairdo didn’t suck, but I think the dress is hot.

    ewwww

  4. Mercedes says:

If you get really close to your computer screen and stare lreal hard at her chest area, you’ll start seeing a a bunch of distorted faces. You know, like on a cereal box.

  5. Grace says:

Definitely LEAVE it. and also leave the hair. she didn’t even pretend to try.

  12. Anastasia says:

I love the dress. Just, not on her. It’s not the right color for her and you really do need to wear your hair up with a dress like that.

  13. ms.a says:

dress – yes. hair – no.

and btw beet, your culturelessness is adorable. sad, but adorable. the opera rules.

  14. iiirene says:

something about the dress i like but then something else makes me not like it…idk what it is yet lol

  15. Jane says:

The color is fantastic; I’m loving the bottom moreso than the top though. It would’ve been better without the spastic kaleidescopic printing around her chest.

Her hair would’ve complimented the outfit more nicely in some sort of pretty up-do, too.

  16. savna says:

I think shes pretty but the dress is eh.

  17. c. says:

the dress is ok…but she’s not the right person for it. even if she did do her hair.
that color is bad on her and she’s not boho-chich enough to pull it off. now that dress on cameron diaz, with her skin and hair and flair for accessorizing, would be a hit.
