Brief Update

So I’m just getting settled into Seattle, which is why posting has been slow.

I rented an apartment in Queen Anne, and I move in tomorrow, so posting should resume as normal by then. Today I explored University Village (explored = shopping) and then went out to Lynnwood to see friends. On this one street in Lynnwood, there is a Red Lobster, an Olive Garden AND a Panda Express. All in one glorious row of culinary genius. I should have rented an apartment on that street. Seriously, whenever anyone’s like “OMG I loooove Spago” my response is “Oh, you clearly haven’t tried the Olive Garden.” No matter what my financial situation, my idea of fine dining will always hover somewhere around lower middle class.

I’m staying right now with my friend Trish, who lives in the South Lake Union area of downtown Seattle. The public transit system out here is called South Lake Union Trolley. This morning, Trish got me a shirt that says “Ride the S.L.U.T.” I am beyond delighted. I love you, Trish!!!

Anyway, sorry posting has been slow the past few days, but thank you all for your comments and support. It means the world to me. Things should be back to normal (well, as normal as they get around here) by tomorrow.

xoxo,
Beet

Hey, welcome to Wet Washington! Where the Rain Festival is January 1st through December 31st!

It is so pretty here; sometimes the rain gets to me a bit, but I know I’ll miss being here if/when I ever move, so I do my best to just love it all! :c)

I live down near Portland, but I’ve friends and a sis up in Tacoma & Lynnwood areas. :c)

I too love Red Lobster (a bit rich for the wallet, but I still go sometimes), and Olive Garden, home of my first two dates. :c)

  15. ~Goodpotato~ says:

    It’s only the beginning now
    …a pathway yet unknown
At times the sound of other steps
    …sometimes we walk alone

The best beginnings of our lives
    May sometimes end in sorrow
But even on our darkest days
    The sun will shine tomorrow.

So we must do our very best
    Whatever life may bring
And look beyond the winter chill
To smell the breath of spring.

Into each life will always come
    A time to start anew
A new beginning for each heart
    As fresh as morning dew.

Although the cares of life are great
And hands are bowed so low
The storms of life will leave behind
    The wonder of a rainbow.

The years will never take away
    Our chance to start anew
    It’s only the beginning now
So dreams can still come true.

Hey! Welcome to Seattle. Good thing you moved here now. When we’re finally starting to get some sunshine (nevermind the past 9 months of gloom). The summer will be fantastic. It always is. Make sure you check out the Cap. Hill eateries. Oh and if you like Indian Food make sure you check out Cedar House in the U-District. It’s the best Middle Eatern/Indian food on earth.

I think your dining tastes might be my fault. When you were 4, I took you to McDonalds and halfway thru your Chicken McNuggets and fries you said , “I think McDonalds has very fine food”. Maybe if I had taken you to a higher end burger joint, you would have turned out differently.
