I am from Ghana, it is a beautiful country. Her daddy could have had families from Ghana taken to America during the slavery time, so I can understand her love the country. Most American slaves came from Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory-coast, Senegal and Cameroun anyway. It is not strange why some African-Americans look like they are straight from the mother-land.

I think you all need to calm down. She is a pretty gurl… and her shirt is worn in support of a country she recently visited. I dont doubt that she loves it. I was born and raised there and i think like all places, it has its problems(in response to the comment about what is wrong with Ghana) but generally the people are friendly. And although some comments might have been made in haste and insulted some people. I think that the fact remains…if you are ignorant about something, look it up. Ghana is in the West of Africa, is located on the coast… is known for its gold… was colonized by the British, among the first to gain its independence… and today joins the African country in the pursuit of development.
Just take it easy all of you. No need to take out all your frustrations on a country that did nothing other that represent on a current american idol’s t shirt. Some of you should visit sometime… might broaden your horizons.
