Pardon, people! I read about her in a german fashion magazine and was shocked by her weight of 45 kilograms at a height of 1,75 metres. That makes a BMI of 14,9! That's neither beautiful nor healthy.

It comes to my mind that grown up, adult women simply seem to be out of fashion. These models are like children, no breasts, no hips, no butt at all. If that is the ideal of modern fashion, we definitely need to think about it. Maybe fashion designers should use hallstands instead of models, at least they don't faint or die. The difference is naught.

And more attractive? Ik couldn't think of waking up in the morning and looking into the face of almost a skeleton covered with skin and being attracted by such girl...

I think this look is a little outated - like breast implants and yellow hair. Models should be thin and attractive (more attractive than the average person of course - thats the job!) but this is definately a deliberate 'look'. Looks like the 90s to me.

i have to add to this one but where 2 start?
i think she looks great. i used to look like her wen i was 18. im only 22 now but have since gained a few pounds. (gettin old/desk job/a little too much chocolate) i am now a size 6 at 110lbs and feel fat in comparison to my teenage years. there is no way she is 110lbs.
she may b naturally thin, it is poss u know!
if she all she ate was an apple she cud not walk a runway, she wud ave passed out.
i wish my thighs were that small again :(
models r not role models but they dun half make me feel shit bout myself physically. i quite understand how sum of the not so bright children starve themselves to look like this and thats not gona change untill they do actually change the models for 'normal' ppl (like theyre aliens!) things will remain the same. and we will carry on complaining.
one more thing- shudnt we be looking at the clothes not the model? that dress is damn cute! wish i had the thighs to wear it! lol!

Which designer would wish to put their clothing on someone as malnourished appearing as this! The purpose of a model is to sell the clothing, not to induce people to donate to a starving people's fund or charity!!

True, roro, Tyra was a very thin model when she started. AND SHE STILL LOOKED HEALTHY! The fact that she's Black (and Korean) doesn't change that. I want to see a lot more women of color on the runways. But not like this...

I think it's odd that you pick one of the ONLY black models on the runway getting jobs to showcase how thin models are.Yes she's thin but HELLO Chanel is still a rarity and a blessing in the sense that she is ( by all accounts that i know of ) a normal teen , (normal as she an be under the circumstances )and she is a teen girl! Remember when tyra was a young model ? She too was VERY thin, but she's "grown into her body".

I would hate to see her caloric intake per day! It can't be more than four or five hundred, by the end of 2008, her teeth should start to loosen and fall out. She just may have to be hospitalized... seriously!!!
