I rarely watch award shows, so this doesn't affect me at all....But I want new episodes of Chuck and Pushing Daisies, so I hope that something gets resolved soon. At least Lost is coming back soon.

Hey Beet. Good reads from you, per usual.

This distinctly is perhaps only slightly more than semantical, but the Golden Globes telecast was actually canceled as an indirect result of the WGA strike. The Hollywood foreign Press Association (Golden Globe organizer) and Dick Clark Productions (the show's producer) were still set to produce the show without the writers' blessings.

However, in a show of organized entertainment union solidarity SAG ,the actor's guild, vowed to strongly discourage SAG members from crossing WGA picket lines. And we can all imagine how exciting and successful a televised Golden Globes broadcast would be without stars AND writers.
