Hey, Hey, I Wanna Be a Pop Star

This is a pretty ingenious reinvention of Nickelback’s “I Wanna Be a Rock Star.” I laughed out loud.

I think the very best part is the brief shot of Christopher Walken with the “needs more cowbell” quote. People don’t talk about that SNL sketch enough. I’m convinced it’s about the funniest thing that’s ever been on TV. So I’ve included it here, so you can all enjoy it.

    Regarding the Needs More Cowbell skit…People may not talk about it much, but they sure do remember it. I was part of a group that tried out for VH1’s World Series of Pop Culture and Needs More Cowbell was one of the most used team names overall. The other was Kobra Kai.

    Christopher Walken and Will Farrell in the cowbell SNL skit is SO funny. It has passed the test of time. I always laugh out loud, and though Rock Star is funny, it’s not destined to be a classic.
