Jessica Simpson might be returning to a market with less competition her Texas roots, according to her father. She’s apparently considering recording a country album.
“Everything in our business is about beats and I think she really wants to sing and country music still believes in that. I think country is the only pure, storytelling kind of genre left,” says Papa Joe.
He makes no mention of Ashlee Simpson embracing this pure, storytelling genre, because, you know, Ashlee don’t sing that well.

This is probably the wisest career move she’s ever made. As a country singer, she doesn’t have to worry about her weight, makeup, hair, or anything remotely pertaining to fashion. And even better than that, I won’t have to hear about her since I couldn’t give a shite about country music. HOORAY FOR JUGGSICA!
she should have done country from the beginning! she was never popstar material, but country star, oh yeah, i coulda seen that (if she hadn’t already built up this other image).

I remember that she did try to do country but no one would sign her because of her breasts, they said they were too big and that no one would take her seriously.
