Here’s That Chocolate Rain Cover Everyone’s Talking About

The kid singing the John Mayer cover (God, John Mayer must be fucking loving this), is Tay Zonday, a 25-year-old from Minneapolis who many are heralding as YouTube’s first music star. Personally, I think this is a viral flash in the pan, and not indicative of a lasting music career, but who knows? Enjoy.

Ha! And here’s John Mayer, doing a version of Chocolate Rain to the tune of Nelly Furtado’s “Say It Right.” I hate that I always love him.

I have to disagree with Beet and agree with Zelda. I won’t be watching this again. Half way through I was wishing someone would smash me in the head with a sledge hammer. If I hear the words “Chocolate Rain” one more time in that low register I will scream.
It’s funny though, they have a Darth Vader remix. During the beginning of the song I was thinking this fucker sounded like James Earl Jones.
Somebody ate a bullfrog..? hee hee. I bet he would do good with emotional gospel songs and finely tuned backup singers tho..
