Granted, without 9/11, Daniel Pearl wouldn't have been in Afghanistan but when a person is brutally murdered, it just doesn't usually make for a good story on the big screen. The story would have been better served (and probably seen by more) if it had been a movie-of-the-week on NBC/ABC/CBS starring a lesser-known TV actress. I agree with what others have written but I don’t think this movie would have much appeal even if 9/11 hadn’t happened.
