Kids are perceptive and you have to be realistic about the world you live in. I’m black and I think that what she said is just practical. Her heart's in the right place, but it would seem wiser to get a black nanny so that someone with skills can be both a role model (big sister sort of way) and someone who can do her hair. No PC bleatings can step to the fact that a black girl's hair requires experience and should NOT be half-assed.
